  2. The main characters are a man and a woman, but we do not know their names. We know that the man did not recognize the woman, and we know that she was 40 years old when they first met, and she was imposing rather than attractive.
  3. The conflict is this: the man is going with the woman to a restaurant that is too expensive for him.
